Lianna wasn't the kind of person who watched others. Oh no, she had guttersnipes for that, but Johanna was different, in her opinion, at least. She had been making sure the girl was alright, kept in good condition, considering Turpin was her guardian.
Today, however, Lianna was closer than usual, she was a woman, after all-and an upper class one, at that-surely the Judge and his loyal...dog would let it slide.
Wrinkling her nose at the thought of the Beadle, Lianna shuddered. The Judge and Beadle were one of the things Lianna feared, oh-the stories that were whispered about those two!
Blushing at that, Lianna frowned. She shouldn't be thinking like that, after all, she had only been five when it happened, not that she remembered anything, her sister and family did, though. And they didn't tell her anything, not at all.
"Fiddlesticks, Lianna. You'll never make sure she's alright by standing around and thinking!" Cursing herself for being stupid, Lianna turned her attentions back at the gloomy window, her cold eyes narrowing as she tried to get a glimpse of Johanna, just to make sure she was alright.

Johanna was no stranger to loneliness. She spent every day in her room, obeying her guardian’s every wish. Nothing pleased her more than to know she was making someone pleased. Especially such a man as Judge Turpin, himself. The fair haired beauty was sewing something that was to be donated to a charity of her choice. She had hoped it would lighten up that small work house filled with children whose parents have abandoned them. She was lucky she was a ward than a child in a work house. Not that she knew what went on in work houses, for she was a very sheltered child and very naïve about any goings on in the world. She knew that when she would finally become a woman, she wouldn’t be suffocated without any fresh air.
Johanna needed something to occupy her time with. She sat down her embroidery to keep her fingers from aching so. Perhaps a book to read? She went about to call on her guardian to ask him to buy her a new book for her to read, for her old books had tattered covers and were read about over ten times each. Johanna sighed, remembering that her guardian was out of town that week. She would just have to do with out, she guessed. Johanna was unaware that there wasa woman outside her window. She tried not to envy the people who were alowed out and about town. She sighed again. It was for her own good. She knew that. It wasn't until a few moments she caught a glimpse of a golden haired woman. Johanna was used to seeing people trying to look at her. It wasn't unheard of to be looked at. Especially to Johanna. She was actually quite fond of this. Johanna had hoped that the people below would try to free her from the tight cluthes of her guardian. She wasn't entirely sure why she was his ward in the first place...

Lianna noticed the pale girl instantly, her face alighting into a smile upon seeing the girl. Raising a gloved hand, she waved, her eyes never leaving Johanna's. Giving the girl a warm smile, she nodded slightly.
Hands resting on the cool stone, Lianna glanced over at the rich door. Seeing no movement, Lianna dared to take a step forwards, judging the iron fence's height.

Johanna waved back a little, refusing to smile. The girl was upset that she had nothing left to do. Her guardian was out of town at the moment and she was left with her servants and nothing was there for her do.
The girl managed a small, smirk-like smile to the woman, who seemed to be a few years older than her. A new friend perhaps?

Seemingly pleased that she had been noticed, Lianna moved more into view, wishing that there was some way that they could talk, which would be impossible-unless Lianna broke in (Which was something she would never do), or Johanna opened her window, which seemed more likely.
Pointing at the window, Lianna made a lifting motion, and then pointed at her mouth, trying to get some form of communication across.

Johanna glanced behind her to make sure no one was looking. She bit her lip and obliged the woman, lifting up her window with all her strength. It was a very heavy window, indeed it was. Johanna wasn't entrely without strength. As fragile as she looked, she could do anything she set her minf to do.
She leaned ever so slightly out the window. "And who might you be?" She asked.

Hearing Johanna's voice, Lianna's lips spread into a thin smile, one that didn't quite reach her eyes, or look entirely real. Cupping a gloved hand to her lips to amplify her voice, she replied with; "Lianna. Lianna Pontmercy."
Stepping closer to the fence, she wound her hands around the bars, flinching slightly at the impact of the cold metal against her warm hands. Pursing her lips, she looked up at Johanna, her eyes seeming to be expecting something.

// B-but, there is no gate...
Johanna nodded curtly and smiled softly upon hearing the woman's voice. Johanna wasn't one for communication with people, other than her guardian or herself. She desperately wanted to talk to people, but she couldn't bring herself to make the words sound right. She made a simple move to the other side of her seat by the window.
Oh, of course. My name. She thought. She imagined herself to be fairly rude that she had forgotten to grace the lady with her name after the woman had told her hers.
"I'm Johanna Barker, pleased to meet you." She said, seeming as if her voice was hoarse.

OOC: Oh, Tim Burton. How we loathe/love thee.
"The pleasure is mine." Came the soft reply, almost getting lost on the damp breeze. Lianna tilted her head, not bothering to mention that she knew the girl's name, everyone in the upper-class did.
Carefully, and like the child she was, Lianna placed a pointed boot on the bottom of the gate, hoisting herself up so her face wasn't blocked. Swaying slightly, the promise of laughter bubbling up from her lips, Lianna gripped the iron bars tighter, steadying herself.

// In my mind, Lianna is climbing up an invisible gate. ^^
Johanna smiled softly, placing her hands behind her back. She inched ever so slightly out of the window, cautiously, to get a better look of the woman.
She frowned. "Please," She whined. "Do be careful not to fall." She said.

OOC: ...Oh, the imagery. xD
Lianna looked up, half pouting, half frowning at having her rare taste of fun spoiled. "Be careful you don't fall!" She chided back, shaking her head.
